  • Description
  • Typically a passage migrant and winter visitor. However, the first proven breeding in Qatar concerned a pair which bred at Irkayya during 2013. It is a bird of dry stony desert and fields. This can be a tricky species to identify, but is a slightly smaller, paler and more streaky version of the Greater Short-toed Lark. It is usually seen in pairs or flocks, and frequently utters a loud, dry rattling call.
