  • A small resident population of attractive doves from Southeast Asia has established itself in Qatar. These birds are primarily found in specific urban areas, adding charm to their habitats with their unique appearance and behaviors. Habitat & Behavior Preferred Locations: Primarily located in the northern end of the Doha Corniche gardens and the grounds of the Doha Sheraton. Likely descended from escaped cage birds that have formed a breeding population. Behavior: Forage for seeds and insects on grassy areas or paved surfaces. Typically seen in small groups of two or three, quietly feeding in open spaces.
