unique appearance and solitary nature. It is now a regular breeder in the
region, contributing to Qatar's diverse avian population. Habitat & Behavior Nesting: Builds nests from thin twigs, roots, and grasses, typically placed in low bushes. The eggs are creamy yellow. Behavior: Usually seen alone or in pairs, unlike the more social Laughing Dove. Tends to gather in larger numbers near water sources. Exhibits a fast and direct flight pattern. Appearance & Physical Characteristics Size and Tail: A small bird with more than half of its body length consisting of an exceptionally long, thin tail. Plumage: Males have striking black markings. Females are more subdued in color. Wings display red flight feathers, and the overall body color is a creamy yellow.
