As of January 2026, the avifauna of Qatar comprises 355 recorded bird species, with more than 381 taxonomic classifications recognized based on the latest Avilist (January 2025).Qatar's avifauna comprises of around 60 resident breeding species, while many other birds visit during the cooler winter months or pass through the country during spring and autumn migration.
